ALCS Game 1: Sox 2, Rays 0

To the uninitiated, last night's game was a slow heart attack, DiceK pitching into and then out of trouble. To those that have watched this all year, though, it is more annoying/brilliant than anything else. If you know that he will get out of the jam, such as walking the bases loaded in the first inning, you just roll your eyes with every ball four and give a little fist jab (a terrorist one?) when he gets out of it.

DiceK got through 7 full innings, Okijima and Masterson did their jobs to get out of a (DiceK-created) jam in the 8th, and Paps shut the door in the 9th. Upshot of this game? Surprise surprise, Francona was right with his pitching rotation.
