ALCS Game 2: Rays 9, Sox 8

If Timlin is on the mound at the end of the game, the Sox will lose, pretty much guaranteed. I really don't understand why Francona gives him the ball, ever. Why not use Paul Byrd, perhaps when Beckett left in the middle of the fifth? Not that I saw the 11th inning, because the game took 5 and half hours and started after 8pm. Whether it is a weekend or weeknight, east coast teams or west coast teams, MLB's insistence on starting games so damn late is infuriating. Playoff games don't last 3 hours, so stop pretending that they do.

And Beckett stunk, for the second game in a row. Lester goes Monday, an afternoon game.
